SpectrumX Expands into North East of England and Scotland

  • Industry specialist, Sarah Ewart, appointed to newly created post of UK’s Regional Account Manager, North East and Scotland
  • Damien Hancox, CEO of SpectrumX says new position is “of core importance” to establishing partnerships and growing commercial activity in the regions

London – SpectrumX, a UK-based healthcare and pharmaceutical company, today announces the appointment of Sarah Ewart to the newly created post of UK’s Regional Account Manager, North East and Scotland. This addition to the sales team comes as SpectrumX brings its novel Spectricept product line of broad-spectrum, non-skin-irritant disinfectants to market and supports the Company’s plans to grow the business across the UK, Ireland, and continental Europe.
Ewart joins SpectrumX from the Medical Defence Union (MDU), where she worked as hospital liaison manager to recruit and retain doctors, deliver medico-legal seminars, and promote the organisation regionally and nationally. Prior to the MDU, she held progressively senior roles as medical sales representative at Pharma Nord UK and area manager at GAMA Healthcare Ltd.

In her role, Ewart will build on her significant commercial expertise in the infection control marketplace, primary and secondary care, and pharmacy. She will lead go-to-market and sales strategies in the region to drive product awareness, create new business opportunities, and provide greater support for clients. In the UK’s North East, her region will cover the East Midlands, Yorkshire, Durham, Newcastle upon Tyne, Middlesbrough, Sunderland, Gateshead, Darlington, and Hartlepool. In Scotland, her region will cover all major Scottish Health Boards, including the Greater Edinburgh and Glasgow regions.

Spectricept products, currently consisting of an alcohol-free hand sanitiser and a body wash, are pH-neutral, high-level disinfectants. The active ingredient is the Company’s patent-pending, stabilised form of hypochlorous acid (HOCl), effective against bacteria, viruses, fungi, and yeasts on skin.

Damien Hancox, CEO of SpectrumX, said: “We have been substantially growing our business and see the sales and marketing team as key to this. Sarah is highly experienced in building relationships with NHS Trusts and identifying and developing new accounts, experiences that are of core importance to our team right now. We look forward to working with her as we expand into this key growth area.”

Greg Whelan, Group Sales Director at SpectrumX, said
: “We are thrilled to welcome Sarah to the team to help expand our business and promote our product line in the North East and Scotland. She brings a wealth of experience to drive that focus.”

Sarah Ewart said: “I’m delighted join SpectrumX to be a part of its expansion strategy and bring the Company’s novel Spectricept products to healthcare facilities in the North East and Scotland for the benefit of workers and patients.”
